この度、英国ランカスター大学のJohn N. Towse先生の講演会を下記の通り開催することとなりましたのでご案内申し上げます。Towse先生は、ワーキングメモリ(working memory)および実行機能(executive function)に関する研究で著名な方ですが、今回は、心理学におけるオープン・サイエンスについて、データのアーカイブ化やプリレジストレーションなど、さまざまな観点から、具体的な実践例を紹介してもらいます。どうぞお気軽にご参加ください。なお、講演と質疑応答は英語で行われます。

講演題目：How “Open Science” can increase productivity and exchange in Psychology
講演要旨：Calls for a more “open science” framework for psychology have been made on a number of occasions. Recent technical and methodological innovations have made progress much more feasible lately, and we can more clearly envisage the positive benefits of open science for psychology. I will discuss some key areas where open science has been making progress – in Journal access, in data transparency, and in study design and hypothesis prediction, using examples from an open science psychology community in Lancaster called PROSPR. In the first area, I will focus on the Journal of Numerical Cognition, and open-access, free-to-publish academic outlet. In the second, I will explore opportunities for data transparency and its benefits, as well as training resources. In the third area, I will overview the ideas behind Registered Reports.
