ブリュッセル自由大学行動医学教授Yori Gidron博士による，PTSD予防技法に関
するワークショップを開催いたします。暑い盛りですが，参加費は無料ですの

Two research-based methods for treating trauma-victims
　Dr. Yori Gidron

Disaster, such as earthquake, can lead to severe anxiety,
post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and social dysfunction. However,
many 'first aid' interventions do not prevent PTSD, including
debriefing. I will present 2 research-based interventions we
developed, and are still testing. First, the memory structuring
intervention (MSI), which tries to shift trauma processing from a
somatic, limbic and disorganized manner, to a verbal, frontal and
organized manner. I will present results testing the MSI. Then, you
will learn the theory and evidence for the effects of "psychological
inoculation" (PI), a cognitive method aimed to reduce people's
barriers preventing them to do adaptive behavior. The PI exposes
people, harmonistically, to sentences that exaggerate their barriers,
and they must systematically refute. This leads to fast changes in
anxiety and risk behaviors. You will see examples and practice each
method, till you master them, in this workshop.
